Privacy Policy
Last updated November 3, 2026
GoSeek is a social listening service for businesses, operated by Allegiance Consulting LLC, 75 Hearst, Irvine, CA 92620. This policy covers three groups of people: visitors to goseek.io, people who use a customer account, and people who have never heard of us but whose public posts appear in GoSeek.
To ask about your information or make a request, email adam@goseek.io.
If your public posts appear in GoSeek
Customers tell GoSeek which brands, products and topics to watch. GoSeek then collects public posts that match, from sources such as public Facebook groups, Reddit, Trustpilot, BBB, TikTok, Instagram, X, news sites and blogs. You did not sign up for this and we did not get these posts from you, so here is exactly what we keep:
- the author's name or handle, as shown on the post
- the post's text, link, platform and date, and the same details for the post it replied to
- the search term it matched and which customer's search found it
- a sentiment score and short explanation, produced automatically by an AI text-analysis service
The customer whose search matched the post can see all of this in their account, and in alerts and reports. We score posts rather than people: GoSeek does not build profiles of the people who write them, and we do not sell lists of people.
You can ask us to delete your posts from GoSeek. Send the link to the post or the handle you use. This does not remove the post from the platform where you published it, and a new public post that matches a customer's search could be collected later.
If you visit goseek.io
The homepage and blog use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and show which pages people read. It sets cookies and sends Google your IP address, browser details and the pages you view. We do not run advertising on these pages.
Our web server also records each request: IP address, browser, page and time. We use these logs to keep the site running and secure, and to see which search and AI crawlers visit.
If you email us, for example to book a demo, we keep your message and address so we can reply.
If you use a GoSeek account
- Account details: your work email, your role, your company's name and a hashed version of your password. We do not store the password itself.
- Setup choices: the search terms and platforms chosen during onboarding, and where alerts should go, such as a Telegram chat.
- Payment: Stripe handles card details. We keep the customer ID Stripe gives us and our billing records, not your card number.
- Sign-in records: sign-in times and IP addresses. Signing in sets a cookie called
sid, which keeps you signed in for up to 12 hours. The app needs it to work and it is not used for advertising.
How we use this information
We use it to provide GoSeek, send alerts and reports, take payment, answer messages, protect the service against abuse, understand how the website is used, and meet legal obligations.
Who receives it
Customers see posts that match their own searches, as described above. Beyond that, we use outside companies to run the service:
- Payments: Stripe
- Website analytics: Google
- Hosting: Contabo, on servers in the United States
- AI text analysis, which receives post text: OpenAI and TypeSafe
- Collecting public posts, which receive search terms: treg, Brave, Firecrawl and Apify
- Email and alerts: EmailIt and Telegram
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a sale or merger of the business. We do not give personal information to other companies for their own direct marketing.
How long we keep it
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Customer account and the posts collected for it | While the account is active, then deleted 30 days after the account lapses or a cancelled subscription ends |
| Backup copies of that data | Our host keeps daily offsite backups. Deleted data drops out as older backups are replaced |
| Billing records | As long as tax and accounting rules require |
| Google Analytics data | Up to 14 months, under our Google Analytics setting |
| Web server logs | Deleted automatically as the logs rotate, usually within a few months |
| Emails to us | As long as needed to deal with the conversation |
Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you, where it came from, why we use it and who receives it
- give you a copy of it
- correct it if it is wrong
- delete it, subject to exceptions in the law, such as records we must keep
- stop selling or sharing it, as California law defines those words
We will not treat you differently for making a request. Email adam@goseek.io with your request and the name, handle or email address it concerns. We may need to confirm that the information is yours before acting on it. An authorized agent can make a request for you with written proof of permission. We respond within 45 days and do not charge for requests.
We accept requests from people outside California too.
Browser privacy signals
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we do not load Google Analytics. We do not respond to the older Do Not Track signal, because it has no agreed meaning across websites.
Children
GoSeek is for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly take accounts from anyone under 18. A public post collected by a search could have been written by a minor, and we cannot always tell. A parent or guardian can ask us to delete one using the email address above.
Security
Passwords are stored hashed, the sign-in cookie is sent only over encrypted connections, and each customer's data is kept separate from other customers'. No system is completely secure, so we cannot promise that information will never be exposed.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date on this page. If a change materially affects customers, we also email them before it takes effect.
